Two of us have gone on one of these dolphin tours, and we were very appalled when we realised that the guide on our boat and those on other nearby boats were deliberately cornering the wild dolphins so tourists could get close up pictures with the animals! We are not saying you should not go on these tours, because if the locals lose their source of income, worse fate might even befall the animals. But we need to choose our tour operators carefully and make sure that the tour we go with treat the dolphins gently.
